Default I got performance clutch or WHAT? 05 vs 08...

Hi guys: i bought my car used and it was tricked out already and to be honest i didnt know too much about aftermarket parts and i would be surprised if the ****' last owner bought a performance clutch... i would be surprised because the car had k&m cai and megan headers but everything else was s#$t... like the ebay cheap exhaust or the cutted springs. ( well.. the k&n plus the megan brands are the best.. so.. whatever.. ) but:

my bro has an 08 scion with 4k miles.. and his clutch is like 2 times softer and it has very long throw way ( idk how to describe it.) so my clutch feels like a sport - racing clutch.. shorter range and much stiffer

is that only because the o8 is like that ( soft, _____ clutch ) or is it my clutch?

you probably have an aftermarket clutch.. if so and it happens to actually be a good one, you should be happy... i love my competition clutch compared to my stock one... stock clutch was awful

they have the same clutch. sloppy, long-pedaled, and very light. if your pedal travel is short and the engagement point is stiff (like mine), it's not stock

well.. i just drove my car again ( my bro took it for the weekend thats why i drove his stock tc) and DAMN.. i just LOVE my clutch.. its so better... short pedaled, much stiffer.. its lovely to drive with it. i wonder if a short shifter would be good with the performance clutch?... or its gonna be hard to change the gears?..
