Default i/h/e vs. altima q

alright i have 2 questions, well i have a scion tc standard, i have an intake header and pulleys but need a pipe and s pipe before i put these on and ive just about got the money for that. well i raced a 5 speed 2.5 nissan altima 2004 with full pipe and cai, i was behind him it was my friend and pulling onto a 2 lane where the speed limit was 60 we went from 25-60 and stayed even and i thought i woulda smoked hime. My q is when i get the pipe and install all this at once will i be able to smoke him and have alot more power... also should i throuw in a lightweight flywheel with this mix too, thanks?

sure just throw in a lightweight flywheel... cuz thats so easy to do... haha

sorry
to answer your q, your prolly not gonna smoke him but you have a chance to beat him

well put. That exhaust will give you prolly 8-12 more hp if you get a really good catback system (Ark, Megan, Agency power, P-tuning, Skunk, etc) so with that much more hp your not gonna "smoke" him but assuming you drive just as well if you were to race again that 12 hp will make you pull a little bit if you were dead even before. My idea of "smoking" someone is 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths every gear at least

to many variables. who knows. the full exhaust wont give u 8-12 you may see close to 8 with a header back but theres guys doing intake/h/e making like 13 more whp than stock. i havent dynoed mine but i have intake and a header back (megan s pipe and mid) trd axle back didnt feel much of a diff. throttle response is better but not no 15whp. by the time you put a flywheel in you can do a supercharger. unless u can do the flywheel ur self

K well the TRD axleback isnt much for performance it merely adds the good sound. I DO have my car dynoed with full Header back and deleted cats pushin 19 WHP. Thats Without the 6 extra I got from my intake as well....25 WHP total.

believable. I dynoed at 155whp with s pipe, cat-back exhaust, lightened flywheel, and CAI. thats about ~15whp gain.

That sounds about right. once you free up your flow with a new header which will delete your main cat... you should see a noticeable difference

your asking if some pipes will give you the power to just blow the doors of your friends altima...the answer should beobvious to everyone NO!

N/A bolt-ons are those are not magic that just makes your car awesomely powerful and faster. they help, but they don't do nearly that much.

well this really suks, but i dont be having enough for another car and like my car ive done alot to looks, i just wish there was a way just n/a to get a real quick car. I thought when i put the i/h//e pulleys and torque damper on all at once i was gonna get a real good increase in power and acceleration, i dont know what to do then???

compare and contrast the tc and the altima.

2.4 l VS 2.5 l

160 hp/163lb-ft VS 175 hp/180lb-ft

2900 pds VS 3001 pds.

you are not going to just blow his doors off with some n/a bolt-ons. you get what you paid for. if all you did was some bolt-ons to kick his butt, he could just do the same thing and kick yours back, you gotta pay to play, you want power, you gotta do your homework, and pay for it.
