well i was a little bored earlier today so i was looking for something to do!!!!i am a stock tc so i poped my hood to check out the engine....out of no where i got an idea so i started taking off the airbox and cutting it up,,,,,so now i have finished a little wannabe home made short ram....it sounds a little meaner but i dont know about performance wise....well ill see if i post pics tomorrow so i can get sum comments on it

 

i modified my intake a little as well, took out the charcoal filter and resonator box.. sounds alot nicer.

the sound however is only there after 3000 rpm, before that it sounds normal.

 

yeah,,,,mines like that also.....but how did you take off the resonator box?

 

it just comes off, loosen the clamp and pull it off.

its that big black box connect to the intake piping.

after you take if off there will be a hole, i went down to the hardware store and bought something that plugs it up, i dont know what it is, but it had the right diameter and doesnt allow air to come in or escape.

 

oh..cool.....i didnt do that but i think imma probably do it today because thats more air restriction right?....well thnx ill take ur advice and ill see if i post pics
