So tonight driving home at a stop light I had brakes pressed in and turned my wheel to get over a lane at last minute I heard a shudder noise / vibration so I stopped to see what was up but then realized when I pulled over that this noise vibration. Only happens when I press in on brakes and turning sharply does anyone know why this could be?

Yeah. 70% brakes up front on a front wheel drive car. You can't steer and nose dive at the same time. It puts pressure on the sides of the calipers and causes uneven clamping and stopping. And it doesn't help that it's an older car. Pad or rotors might be going bad. Drive straight and slowly press the brake until you stop, very slowly, and try and feel in your foot for little bumps or unevenness. That would be your rotors. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it, and it might have even been your ABS. It likes to kick in every onces in a while.

09 isn't too bad, but these cars don't have the best owners and usually aren't well maintained. Try what I said, and if you don't feel any warping or unevenness, then you're fine. Otherwise, you'll need rotors.
