Default Ingalls Engine Damper

I just installed my damper tonight and drove it around for a little while. I wanted to jump on here and give ingalls some praise for a great product. I could feel the difference right away.
1) Eliminated all wheel hop.
2) Improved traction and launches.
3) Shifting was noticably smoother, and more forgiving.

I know that none of these qualities are measurable, but I was surprised by how improved clutch+shifting was, as well as the wheel hop being GONE. Anyway, just wanted to say: well worth the $160ish dollars.

I have the Ingalls ETD and all 3 of the Energy Suspension Motor Mounts and it is much stiffer and much more responsive off the line! Yes with just the ETD you will feel a little more vibration throughout the cabin and on the feel of the steering wheel but nothing to major, and no I didnt use dynomat. Also you will hear valve noise within the cabin when windows are shut and music is off. I think its sexy personally lol! Just get it and enjoy!

Did you guys have some nasty wheel hop issues before? My car has never had any wheel hop issues unless the ground was wet. My friend has an ETD on his type-s and it cured his wheel hop, but makes the steering wheel vibrate at idle.

I noticed a little vibration, but I didnt put on the O-rings that it comes with. They are supposed to reduce the noise at least.

Installation was a breeze. All you really need is a metric ratchet set, it also helps to have an open ended metric wrench set. Some of the bolts are a pain in the rear... I just used the stock bolts for the chassis mount. I didnt do the dynomat either, that would turn a 1 hour installation into a 2 day project.

And maybe its me and the way I drive, but I definitely had wheel hop. But not anymore!

The ETD is simple.. The ES Motor Mounts kinda difficult to do the rear one but the other 2 were cake. Personally I like the ES Motor Mounts alot more then the ETD and its a fraction of the price.

Okay so i started to install my engine damper and realized im missing this nut:

It is used to replace the standard motor mount nut. This one:

Do i need this one? Is there a way to get one at a hardware store and how would go about finding it?

Thanks.

All the nuts in the kit are the same size. I didnt even use the black ones cause their bowed to lock in... Joey, I bet you had a heck of a time getting that black one on there right? But yea go to a hardware store and get some stainless steel nuts.

Killa did you do the Motor mounts yourself?

Its all good i found the nut i needed at the hardware store. I bought it used so it was just missing that one nut. The only pain in the ___ was getting that nut and moving my strut bar.

I only took it for a short test drive. I dont really notice much of a difference driving. I think its on the softest setting. There isnt any rattle or vibration really. I used dynamat. In low rpms it maybe vibrates a little. You can definately hear the engine more.

I put my ETD to the stiffest setting, much better. Along with all 3 of ES Motor Mounts my motor is stiff as hell..
