aem cai doesn't exist! i hope this gets locked be 4 it gets bashed on. Intake is cool to show off and stuff, but doesn;t really give a noticable increase in power. Get some lowering springs and sway bars first and new tires.
If you drive into a big puddle of water, ur cold air intake will suck in water and the engine while hydrolock. If you find an intake for like 150 then maybe get it, but don pay 250 + for sound!!

^^ i dunno about you, but my Injen CAI gave my some noticeable power. others will most likely say the same. and if your lookin to make your car faster, springs, sway bars and new tires wont help you. lol, listen to someone who has a tC>
I've been looking at some tires now and there are some really sweet ones out there...
I don't care too much about engine mods, so I want to see my money when I go to the garage...

When paired with other power mods the intake halps to add a very noticeable power increase. The Injen CAI dynoed the best in the GSC/Killer tC independent dyno test in 2 different tests.
Dont worry about hydrolocking a tC. The way the filter is positioned it would be extremely difficult for it to suck water and damage the engine. Water would be coming in through the doors and your headlights would almost be underwater. The tC has been out for abuot a year and a half now and not 1 person has posted about hydrolocking with a CAI.

I got mine for around 200 the first day it was available... you should be able to find it for around that... maybe a few bucks cheaper....
It needs to be cleaned occasionally.... check out the FAQ on Injen's web site and they'll tell you what you long to know...

is there anything else i need to know on it, like after getting it installed, i know i cant just floor it so when can I? lmao this sounds stupid but im new to engine mods
after you install it your supposed to let it idle for about 10 minutes so the engine can learn to deal with the new amount of air it is getting and adjust itself accordingly. I have heard of someone not doing this and having problems but only one....
and there is no need to fear of hydrolocking. anyone who has seen where the filter is on a tC can tell you that. and if you really want extra protection you can buy one of those drycharger covers.

if you don't gun it to hear the tasty sounds your car will make you will get more mpg.
the first take I went through I kinda did the grandpa thing and I got 3 miles more per gallon.
I have since started being somewhat spirited at my driving now and my mpg are a little better than before I put it on, which is good.

I'd bet on losing MPG as well... it's just too nice to hear that baby go.... If you drive exactly like you did before you had it, you should see a small gain... but not too many people do... once they hear that CAI go.
