Default Injen CAI installation HELP!!!!

So I got my 07 injen cai yesterday, and I tried to install. But I couldn't put the second pipe to the hole (or fender) and all I got was dang scratches. So I just installed it as SRI and today I tried it again, but no luck, now scratches are all over the pipe and I'm ____ed b/c I can't get it in!!!
I didn't pull the bumper off I took the wheel off and the plastic and also the fender off a lil bit. I also tried to put from bottom to top (yeah I'm stupid)

I tried every angle and tried to wiggle it but again, all I got is f****** scratches.

Here are some pix, am I doing it right? do they have to be opposite way?

PLZ HELP!!!!

If you want, you can line the hole with some duct tape so you wont scratch your piping... Thats what I did....AFTER I got some scratches ...but yea...what squallheart said...GOOD LUCK!

Yeah, it took a lot of wiggling and some force to get my Injen CAI into my 07. After I got it past the lip in the engine bay, it was smooth sailing, but you may want to undo the vibramount inside the engine bay and push the SRI section out of the way to give you some working room. It goes from the fender up into the engine bay, not reverse from that. Lastly, remember that if you can't figure out why the CA section won't screw on to your fender vibramount, screw the vibramount in so that the screw section faces the front of the car.

I know it sounds like a pain in the a$$, but if you take the bumper off it will go in relatively easy. ( There is still some wiggling to be done to get into place even with the bumper off. ) You'll kick yourself when you see that that is all that it takes.

Also as sddykstr said the vibra mount for the CAI is attached from the front once the intake is in place. So you have to take the bumper off.

Anyway taking the bumper off is pretty easy. If ya end up with to many screws when you are done putting it on then ya know ya missed a hole.

Good luck.

I didn't take off the bumper, i just reached around through the fender mudlining and screwed it in. I don't think it is necessary to remove the bumper, maybe easier to get in, but not necessary. You just reach around to the opposite side of the ground screwhole and screw it in. Nothing fancy or difficult, the most difficult part was just getting the CA tube through the engine bay because that damn hole is so small...
