Default Injen CAI Lack of Sound?

hey guys and gals, so.. I installed my cai about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I noticed that the day I installed it seemed louder than how it sounds today. The whistle and everything is still there (gotta love that whistle).. but that "ROAR" that I used to hear doesn't really seem to yell anymore. Anybody else notice this?

..And yes, I tightened the clamps from both the throttle body and the mid-extension.. Haven't re-tightened the Filter area, but im 110% sure that was the clamp I tightened the tightest before putting front bumper back on, and I made sure of that.

Hmm..

I noticed it a little but but I think its more of you getting used to the sound. Im sure the intake changes sound as it gets broken in.

ahem, guys, the "roar" you are refering too, is called "resonance" its a BAD thing. the noise is made when air going into the intake is bounced around and off the walls of the CAI. when the air bounces, its not going where its supposed to, into the manifold. so the loss of sound is probably due to the MAF sensor adjusting the engine scavenging(taking air in). soooo in conclusion no noise=good thing. now go wash that rice smell off of you , you're scion owners for crying out loud!!

i wouldn't be worrying about sound. i would worry more about if the performance is the same or not. sound is not makes power
