Default Injen CAI Question

So i have a Injen CAI and I was wondering is it possible to take the other end off and clamp the filter to the first end so it would be like a short ram?

thats the only way to make a short a short ram, cause they dont offer one any other way, but if you look at the dyno sheets that are posted in the stickys, you'll see that you will be losing power and torque due to the hot air the intake will be supplying the motor. so if you have, just install it, its not that hard, unless you have other reasons for wanting a short ram

yea, go with the full CAI if you can. You'll get more benefit out of it than if you just made it a short ram.

I did that at first cause I was lazy to take off the bumper. then when i had time i put on the full cai and popped open that vent thing on the bumper and reseted the battery and yay barely saw a difference but have a slight fear of hydrolock

why did you take off the bumper, all you need to do is remove the inside fender plastic, took me just under an hour to do the whole job

at first I didn't but then Trung did it for me. I didn't really notice any changes, but if you think about it with the vent off, it is easier for air to get in

i just jacked my car up and pulled the interfender out, it was quick and simple, not sure what the directions said, i never read them, im a man...haha
