INJEN CAI slapping sound
I've had my INJEN CAI for about 9 months, and as soon as I installed it, it was slapping around in my engine bay. NOt merely as bad as it sounds, but the part of the intake the leaves the engine bay to the right, and then disappears into the fender is rubbing that metal and when the cars starts, or if I take off from 2nd gear, you hear kinda like vibration on the metal where clearly the intake is rubbing up with something.
It was on for about 3 days before I decided it definitely was not normal and got one of those... um.. kinda beer-holder things, and cut the bottom of the cylinder to make some reinforcement to the part. I don't have the problem anymore, but was wondering if anyone knew how to solve this without ghetto rigging it...
thanks_

problem is that the rubber thing that injen supplied is a _____ to put on, and when you do get it on it eventually slips off with heat.......so if anyone hears that clanking / clapping noise fix it right away or it will eat the piping and you'll have a freaking hole.......
Check your vibra mounts - are the nuts tight? If that doesn't fix it get Dr. Isotope's CAI fender mount panel.

if there was anyone else having this problem. Cosidering INJEN is top-of-the-line, this problem seems a bit dumb, in the sense where this could've been thought out better, no? I chose INJEN over AEM because I heard their quality was better, but now.. not so much.
Make that 3, I bought his before I even bought the intake :D and its been the best investment so far thats under 20 bucks lol. Definetly get that if you want a clean look to your install. And to help you see it on the car:
