I have had the Umnitza carbon fiber box for about a year and finally decided to put it to the test. I decided to go with an Injen CAI.

i'm confused, which made the most power? the charts don't tell which run is with which intake.

umnitza 171.9hp 167.4tq
injen sri 173.8hp 169.2tq
injen cai 176.1hp 166.6tq

so injen cai gained most hp but least torque?

 

The Injen CAI made decent gains above 3000 rpm. I believe the loss in torque below 3000 rpm is due to the cam timing settings. I didn't change any of the cam timing settings I had for the Umnitza intake. I am going to get back on the dyno this weekend and mess with the cam timing.
I am not to worried about the peak torque numbers because the CAI eliminated the spike in torque at 4000 and made a much smoother torque curve above 3000 rpm.
I will post new numbers this weekend.

176whp (and more to come) with bolt-ons and EMS- excellent numbers!

The Injen is definitely an upgrade over the Umnitza. (Only downside is the metal tubes will heatsoak on the street or at the track.) But I can easily see you getting over 180whp on the dyno with tuning. Which is significant since a stock S/C puts down 184whp.

 

good gains. injen makes good stuff, had it on my slow lancer. im not a big fan of the snorkels though. id rather be SRI.

where do u find the Umnitza carbon fiber box and how much? is e-manage as good? i just like the PNP harness without having to splice
