i recently took off the snorkel on the stock intake. and im hearing a deep noise when i accelerate hard which is pretty cool on stock.

my question is has anyone else done this? i heard some one was getting better gas millage without the snorkel, less restriction.

also is the cold air intake legal in California yet.?!!!??

yea i did this when i went from my ebay intake back to stock and was too lazy to get frustrated over attaching the little snorkel so i tossed it an called it a day, haven't really noticed any differences in it

 

if you roll down the windows and turn off the music you can hear a deep noise of air getting sucked in. i usually hear it the most in 2nd and 3rd gear. but you have to push the gas down a little farther.

 

lol i didn't notice cause i just came from having the cold air I still miss the deep grumble of my CAI though

 

I left mine off when I installed my sri at first because I didn;t remember where it came from, then I saw on the forums, some took them off anyway lol...as for better mileage, I haven't really noticed any significant improvement from it.
