Iridium plugs....
I was wondering what exactly these do over regular plugs and do they help at all.
Can u really tell a difference in response or acceleration?
What bout gas mileage?
Any and all info would be nice. I am thinking bout switching to them if they help. Trying to get a little more performance out of my tC.

See.. you were just upgraded!
Iridium is the most corrosion resistant material you can build a plug out of . I have yet to ever see any plug make a significant change in fuel efficiency unless it is replacing badly worn plugs. The main thing you get out of iridium is super long life. It does conduct very well too, but again, I have not seen a huge difference in performance between any two plug types.
The ignition system on this car is very good. You have coil on plug ignition and denso parts.

Ok thanks guys. Good to know.
I had just read something in a magazine at one time that says that there are colder plugs that help with a better combustion and all that? I had heard from who knows where that they supposedly help with acceleration and fuel effiency.

A plugs heat range referrs to how well they dissipate heat. If you run FI, you typically want to go a step or two colder. Other than that, just stick with what is in the car already
