Default Just got done putting LSD in Tranny

I just got finished putting in an LSD into my 5spd Transmission in my tC and when the car is off I can shift into any gear just fine, but when the car is on I can't shift into any gear what so ever at all. I don't want to force into any gears to get it to move at all there's about 15k on the tranny is this a cause of the clutch release cylinder not moving the throw out bearing far enough to disengage the the clutch from the flywheel? Because the Clutch Release cylinder boot and plunger came out and alot of fluid drained should I try and refill that? Also where abouts is the Clutch Fluid Reservoir on our cars?

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated here

Thanks, Chad

The problem being the release cylinder? If you dont mind letting me know how i should go about starting this so I dont go taring into things that dont need to be touched?

sounds like there is no fluid which is the problem. I am wondering why you didn't refill that before you tried driving it???

Well if there is no fluid then why would the clutch cylinder be able to push the shift fork? that's why i tried to go ahead and start it up and put it in gear. When I was able to bleed out air and push in the clutch pedal and the shift fork was able to move, I was like hot d@mn its ready to go but no im stuck now not knowing what the hell im going to do for transportation to work now and more than likely im just going to get it towed to a Transmission shop and tell them one thing "Just fix it" And my job we don't touch transmissions if we did id have it taken there but we don't do anything that requires major tranny work

sounds like you need to fill up and bleed out the system, without fluid you are going to be able to disengage the clutch therefore the transmission will be spinning along with the motor and wont allow the syncs to line up to allow the car into gear. top it off and bleed it first before starting it

Well its been none of these issues it is a fact of me having the car towed down to the dealer and having them do it so i guess the heck with me scratching my head looking at this after working on cars all day long im just going to let the dealer who works on these cars all day do what there paid to do

Yeah im giving up because im getting a brand new transmission under warranty and they are going to install that lsd for me as well no charge at all so if you were going to get a brand new tranny and lsd installed for FREE i think you would give up and let the dealer do it too

How did you do that?
You pulled apart your tranny and the dealer fixed your mistake for free? You gotta tell me your secret.

that happened to me about to weeks ago because i had taken of the tranny to fix 3rd gear and when we put ot back on it happened just like that, it was the clutch disc thats was bent because of all the forcing we did to get the tranny to mate with the block. what happens is that the tranny shaft bends the disc when you force it to much. once you get it in and try to put it in gear the clutch bearing realeases but the dics wont free itself up because its stuck (bend)
