f/i is the way to go in the long run, but if your on a budget, bolt-ons are fine. The only legal intake is the k&n intake which modifies the stock airbox.

Legal in the sense of emissions.......there are no emissions tests where I live and there is nothing in the Illinois Vehicle Code which states that cold air intakes are illegal..so where I live..EVERY intake is legal ;)

overall very beautiful. i really like the black piping.

side note:i think you should get a bypass for the intake. you never know when you will be driving in the rain and you accidently run over a huge puddle and the intake sucks up a bunch of water. i know there is a splash guard and w/e. its a good precaution to get a bypass anyways. i have one on my cai. its just an extra level of proteciton that wont cause any regrets (and if anything you will be thanking yourself later for getting one)

I would get the bypass but w/ the Injen intake you have to cut a little bit to make the bypass valve fit and I'm not gonna go cutting anything...around where I live, there's hardly any flooding and if anything, I will get the Injen Hydro Shield that just slips over the filter for the spring time.

highly recommend the injen intake. haven't tried any of the other ones but the fact that you can make it SR... is pretty awesome.

I read over them and installed it by wingin' it. It's extremely straight forward. Do yourself a favor and take the front bumper off..it will make things go SO much smoother when feeding the pipe through the fender. Also..put some duct tape or something instead of that rubber trim for the inner fender to keep it from getting scratched. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Yoo.... did the install yesterday, me and my dad did it. we were planning on taking the front bumper off, however when we got the wheel off and the plastic around it, we unscrewed one screw below the left headlight to open the bumper up a little, and that little flex in the bumper allowed us to be able to put that 2nd pipe in. Also with the rubber piece they gave us, we cut it in half and just used some sweet glue to put around the opening so the pipe wouldnt get scratched. (unfortunately i didn't read your posts till today, i would have used some of your tips but i guess it wokred out fine with the way we did it.)lol So after all that, its in works nicely, sounds good too. Hope you're enjoying yours as much as I am lol, thanks for the help... laterrrrrrrr

I believe I am going to either get the NST crank pulley or the CF interior dash kit w/ cf cubby panel and a volt gauge for some xtra flare inside

What was the tip about the duct tape? wasn't really sure what you meant?
