Default Just ordered my CC S-Pipe!

So it was a long winter and I have made the first purchase of the season.

Creative Compacts S-Pipe!

Why CC over ZPI or Megan? Well, there were no comparison threads out there so I chose the guy in the middle.

This will go alongside my K&N intake and TRD axelback on my auto tC with front strut tie bar and rear sway. I'll definitely post pictures and a sound clip (before/after) when it's installed, along with my initial impressions.

I don't expect *much* but ever since selling my AW header six months ago I have been in withdrawl. Sure it sounded terrible but I had a very noticible power gain.

In actuality I just wanted to order a really big pipe.

Default Update!! Finally received it! (funny story)

So, I received the S-pipe today. I placed the order on 4/24. You may be wondering why it took almost 3-4 weeks to receive the S-pipe.

Well, funny story. I have to thank James of CreativeCompacts/ProMotion Tuning for putting up with me and my constant pestering for a tracking number.

I placed the order on 4/24. As of maybe early last week I have been emailing James to check in for a tracking number on the S-pipe. Finally today (5/16) he received a response from the manufacturer and forwarded it my way. It appears as if the S-pipe had been delivered on 5/3 !!

I normally have packages delivered to work. This package didn't have my name attached, but it did have my company name. One of the front desk receptionists signed for it, but I never received an email that I had a package on 5/3. However, I did find out today that the package was signed for by one of the girls at the front desk so I decided to hunt around for it.

I first asked her about the package and she couldn't recall where it went. Then I thought about it a moment...if a package came in with a company name and no employee name on it, or ATTN: line, C/O, etc...where would it go?

MIS, perhaps!

I walk down the hall to the MIS reception desk and am waiting for someone to come out. While standing there I spot a large pile of boxes, one of which looks like it just might fit an s-pipe, and surely does NOT look like a rackmount server.

Someone comes by and I tell them the story of my missing package. I explain it's part of my exhaust I was waiting for. This garners some wide eyes and then they laugh loudly and go straight over to the box I had my eye on and ask me if TruBendz Technology might be what I was looking for. They had no idea what the box was, and never opened it (they're behind on opening shipments sometimes).

And there we have it. MIS had my S-pipe for the past two weeks! I bet if I waited any longer, the next time I walked into the server room I would see an S-pipe hooked up to a rack as a hot air exhaust for the HVAC system..haha..imagine my surprise seeing a piece of my car I've been waiting for hooked up to the network.

Thankfully I have the part in hand now and once the rain in Boston lets up I'll be able to install!

A big Thanks goes to James for his patience. The S-pipe looks nice, stainless steel, clean. Can't wait to install!
