K&N short ram help!

Default K&N short ram help!

I have a K&N CAI and i wanted to change it to a short ram. but the cone doesnt fit into the cabin space!!! does anyone know if its supposed to? becuase i thought it could be converted into a short ram very easily...i thought wrong...any suggestions? or know where i can seek help on here?

Its not designed to be converted to short ram...sorry

You could try a smaller cone filter. Sucks you got to buy another but atleast you may be able to get it to work.
I havent tried it just making a suggestion.

wow, thats very misleading. i could have sworn these things were convertable into short ram, especially since all those midwest guys want to convert in the winter...
and buying a new cone? pshhh! that would suck, i would rather cut an inch off the pipe and make it fit!

The website claims that "some may"be able to convert to short ram. It just so happens the tC version isnt one of them.

it almost fits... about one more inch of room and it would fit fine... however, i was not impressed with the K&N CAI... noise alone is not worth the mod.. so i put the original intake back on... K&N for sale! anybody?

the injen is the only one with a hort ram/ cai conversion, and it sounds pretty mean as a cai, i am yet o try the short ram intake

why do you want to switch to a short ram? Both give basically the same gains.

Cold air will give more gains the a short ram.

thats what I thought too, but apparently the only gains over a short ram are at low speeds.
