I will have some pictures of the Exhaust a sound clip and a dyno graph for all to see next week. I have not even seen the exhaust yet, but its on the way here now.

as far as the Vibrant website its at www.vibrantperformance.com great quality exhaust products. we have been selling there WRX/STi exhaust and header for a few years now. Here is the link to there other exhausts we carry http://www.gscmotorsports.com/categories/?id=3641 you can see the quality in the other exhausts.

As far as cost its obviously going to be more than just an axel back but should be in the $600 range maybe a little more but we will see. I know the tC exhaust is very similar to the mazda 3 exhaust on the GSC site.

I would be more interested in seeing an average of three runs with each intake. With the run, switch, run switch method you are not completely cooling down, and you are only taking one data point for each, which completely neglects variation. It isnt a bad test, dont get me wrong, but I would like to see more statistically sound data before basing the type of intake I use off of it, mainly because of the small differences between each. Just my .02 though.

How in technical terms could this affect the A/F mix, how could it affect the MAF.

Surely once the air reaches the SR position in the pipe it's the same air doing the same thing. It's just airflow in a pipe, right.

It doesn't make any physics sense, atleast not to me.
The SR is drawing heated air from inside the engine compartment, which is less oxygen dense... thus, less fuel can be burned at a time (same reason you run a FMIC with a FI setup). So basically they are WORSE than stock in that area since the stock airbox draws from the fender well. They are better than stock in the sense that they "should" be more free flowing.

well we did let the car cool. it takes at least 10-15 minutes to change the intakes. and as far as letting it cool totally inbetween runs then it wouldn't be a true real world test. sense we did test all the intakes the same way giving each intake the same cooling method should net close to the same margins if we let each run cool back to ambiant temp.

The main reason for doing 3 runs was to adapt the ecu or mass air before the final pull.

Thing is, while there is no difference between stock and K&N by just dropping in the filter, the AF ratio is a bit better.

I think you'd actually see a difference on a modded airbox setup. Its the stock intake plumbing below the filter that's terrible.

I used to have the vibrant axle back on my 98 Neon RT. I really liked the sound. Was nice and deep, not even a hint of rasp. I'm very interested in the vibrant kit for the tC. I wanna hear it first tho!

Thanks for the dyno. I really thought the stock filter was more restrictive than that, but at least it never needs replacing..

First tested was the K&N CAI the Stock, then K&N drop in, Injen CAI, Injen Short, and F5.

Weapon R and maybe umajitiawanatouchthehinny might be sending in there intake. Just got an email from them. All i got to say is sure would have been nice to have them to include on the first round.

I'll try and post the info on Sunday we will try and do it then.

As far as the vibrant goes we will do a sound clip and give our opinion of the sound. and trust me when we say something sounds like crap we will tell you.

It'd be great to compare the CreativeCompacts header-back exhaust with the Vibrant one, when you get around to that....

We received the Weapon R intake today and we are waiting on the Umnitza intake. I think the Umnitza was shipped out yesterday, hopefully we will see it before the end of the week.

we will test both of these and post the results for you as soon as we can.
