Alright sweet, I just got the TRD exhaust and love the sound of that, so I'm hoping with the Intake it sounds even better.

yes youll will hear the intake over the exhasut about 3500 rpm if you really stomp on it...i have the drift spec from megan and the intake is louder depending on how you drive....but does give you a nice pull.....make the exhasut tone little louder and deeper not by much...

I'll ask this question too, since it doesn't appear to be answered yet.

Some of these intakes are completely different from one year to the next.

So the ECU can adjust for the extra air. It's not much of an adjustment but the ECU can compensate a little for the extra air.

A cai/sri is such a minimal gain that you will NOT notice at all.

You don't have to reset the ECU it will adjust on it's own.

To "reset" the ecu pull the negative battery lead off, press the brake pedal a couple of times just to make sure there's no excess battery juice left. (brake pedal thing isn't always needed, just makes me feel good when I do it) Then walk away from the car for about 15-20 mins so there has been no power at all to the car. Re-attach lead then reset all your electronics.

Side note, why is someone bumping a 2/3 year old thread with a stupid question?

Even with a full exhaust system setup you will barely notice anything without a full tune and internal work done. That alone will cost you a lot for the amount of power your getting. You'll more than likely will be louder than faster by all means. Just get whatever exhaust you want and I would recommend you getting a custom 2.25" midpipe since your most likely going N/A and to save you some money. Other than that use the "SEARCH" functions on the site because there are tons of topics regarding your question.

Best bang-for-the-buck mod: take a Sawzall to the muffler.
My finances are limited, I don't care if I have a titanium-look 6" exhaust tip.
It works. And it's not terribly loud, considering there are two cats, and a resonator already...

I would love to see a dyno comparison of ebay CAI and header vs name brand.

Despite everyone saying "you get what you pay for" over...and OVER again. I've had mine on for 5 months with no problems. Would love to see how the CAI and Header stack up against parts that are more than double their price.
