Lightweight Flywheel owners please read
I just had my Competition Clutch Stg4 and 9lb flywheel installed today.
Everything is wonderful except I notice that my idle is a bit low.. and sometimes at a stop it seems like it's just about to stall but it doesn't.
Does everyone else have this issue? Or is it just something as simple as a vacuum leak before the T-body?
The car is otherwise stock.

Did they disconnect your battery duing the install? If so, the idle should be back to normal after driving it a while (20 - 50 miles or so most likely). When you reset the ECU, it will run a bit strange until it relearns its idle points.

Some headunits will keep their settings as long as they are not powered down past a certain amount of time. The stock one will keep all of its settings except some of the sound settings after the battery is disconnected. I am guessing that is the case.

My trip A/B says 5.4 miles and I always reset at every gas fill-up. She's at half tank now.. lol.

Yes, the battery was disconnected and the ecu was reset. I just need to wait for it to relearn idle.
It's a Stage 4 clutch - 6-puck sprung hub. I don't really notice any "chatter" or rattles... but the clutch is new and I think that the chatter develops over time but is completely normal.
Right now under slow/light engagement, if the rpm is too low, it just feels like it's going to stall and the car vibrates a little.. nothing major. I'm still getting used to the combination of the strong clamping force and the lightweight flywheel.
Best mod for me so far.

I just wanted to update you guys on this... the issue is resolved.
The ECU just needed to relearn idle and that's what it did after 20 miles or so. It idles great now. I'm loving this clutch/flywheel combo more and more. Now I just need to justify having it..

There is a big debate on this. It reduces rotational inertia, which means it takes less work to increase rpm. However, this means that it is also easier to slow it down as well, so at cruising, you have less rotational inertia to keep it moving. I would say it will be a wash in the end.

im gonna have my tranny cracked open two weeks from now for lsd and trd heavy duty clutch install, the shop asked me if i want to have a light flywheel installed also.
Ive read Dezod's official turbo faq about the flywheel and it seems like its better to leave the stock one alone. Im n/a by the way, might go FI but not anytime soon.
Do you all think its worth it for a daily driven tc? since the tranny is already open and all. How about first gear? Our first gear is really short, does a light wheel flywheel makes it feel shorter bec the engine revs faster now? thanks in advance for your opinions
