I don't think it good to mix different oil, but I'm not a mechanic or anything. Are they both 5W-30?

You dont need to use the lucas oil if you buy royal purple. Royal purple alone is enough. Trust me. Use lucas oil if you buy ____ oil.

Tc only needs 4qts why would you put in five. Also as long as the oil has The API or SAE stamp on the bottle its compatabile. Still it doesnt mean you can blend your own formula. These people test in labs and spend millions of dollars developing synthetics. Conventional oils are mineral based meaning they need refinement and are natural, Synthetics on the other hand are man made nothing natural its all lab created. So the only question you should ask yourself is conventional or synthetic?

The oil filter is small on the tc if you havent seen one or held one you would know what i mean. Also you cannot fit half a quart in the filter its too small. Not to sound like an ___ but ive been changing my oil after the 5000 mile mark. Royal Purple and a Mobil 1 oil filter. No problems yet at 35000 miles. One important thing to keep in mind the engine consumes half a quart to one whole quart every 2000 miles depends on climate and driving habits. I usually change oil and filter every 3000 and I never went over 4000.So its safe to say 3500 or 3 months which ever comes first. You should be driving your tC a long time maintaining this schedule.

Don't use the lucas junk...royal purple is a good oil.

I used Amsoil 0w-30 in my gf/s TC on the last change. One so that she can go longer between intervals (she always forgets). And two, the lighter weight improved gas mileage by 2mpg...its good stuff!

I think that nightglide is talking about lucas engine oil stabalizer. I use that combo (not 5qt) on my car and I am at 108k with no problems but i cant contribute no problems to the oil combo. I like that combo personaly.

RP 5w20 and a Toyo YZZF1 filter FTW.
That's it.
No additives.
