i want to run a 3 intake but it keeps throwing a code and then the engine just boggs down and pretty much has the ecceleration of a ford pinto! my question is is there a maf sensor on other toyota plat forms like a v-6 camary or am is there a way to bypass the maf sensor completely? any suggestions greatly appreciated thanks!

yeah im broke so i made an intake from the diy parts at pep boys!

 

wow. so it's just a pipe. not a intake.

 

just because the intake tube is the size of an elephant ***** does not mean your going to make HP... if your broke just drop in a k&n filter at the least inside the air box... or take out the box all together and were the tube ends just after the sensor put a cone filter there. dont use pep boy tubes to make that kind of stuff.. in the end its money down the drain and more of a headache to work around problems like u have..

also i hope u reset the ecu and let it run normal for about 10 minutes when u did that instead of just flooring it right after you did it.

 

 

Air velocity is at it's worst I think for it to Bog down that much.

Just put a stock airbox back in and cut a bunch of holes in it. It will sound like it has an intake and will be loud. There ya go! Send me 5 dollars please!

 

The issue is the MAF is seeing lean/rich conditions and dosent know what to do so you bog down and power suffers. There is a reason intakes go through R&D.
