Default Manual Transmission Upgrades

Hey everyone I'm trying to get some feed back as to what are my options in terms of beefing up my 5 speed gearbox. I've lost 5th gear on two transmissions now and If it happens a 3rd time I'm gonna consider switching platforms. I am currently using a stage 3 6 puck clutch with my turbo and I've been boosted for over 70,000 miles now with over 125,000 miles on the odometer. I love being boosted and I love my tc but this is my 3rd transmission and I really don't think I'm that hard on my car even though its daily driven. Any ideas as to how to beef it up or on what I can do to prevent a future failure would be really helpful.

I forget if it was Ptuning or World Motorsports that was designing a new trans for the tc. In anycase, being boosted will wear out your components a lot faster. How many psi are you running? Have you looked into E351 trans?

Haven't seen anything on the web about reinforcing trans so I just had to bare with it. I was @7.5psi of boost then got a new tune @9.5psi. I wasn't aware that they are other transmissions for this car that was compatible let alone capable. I'll do some searching on it however.
Just need to know what steps have to be taken in order to beef this tranny up.

It sounds like your beating on 5th hard. I typically down shift to 4th when I'm gonna get on it like to pass. 5th is pretty much just cruising to be honest. But I'm not a trans buff. I just feel like I beat the ____ out of 2nd/3rd and 5th is in vac usually cruising along.

For another trans you can try an E351 out of a Camry. Mine originally was an 02 Camry with 60k on it. $600. Much higher top speed so you get alot more out of each gear. Dunno if its any stronger though. Their almost identical from what I've been told.

Yeah I suspected as much. After losing 5th for the second time I started becoming very suspicious about the gears itself and reevaluating my driving habits. I do a lot of highway driving and I have been pulling hard in 5th.

So now I'm not doing that anymore. I'm just trying to contain myself until I can figure out how to obtain a transmission that can survive some spirited driving from time to time. I'm currently looking into the E351 transmission. Kinda wish I had done this earlier instead of hastily throwing in yet another replacement 5 speed.
