Default Megan Exhaust questions

I like the megan exhaust and it seems very reasonably priced. Why so cheap? Am i missing something? most other cat back systems cost significantly more.

And the second question is how is the bumper problem? Has it been completely fixed since the new version. If not then will they try to fix it? And if its not fixed and left without some custom fabrication how badly is the melting? After say a year with a turbo on will that totaly melt the bumper?

As of now they're working on the third version of the exhaust. Last I heard they were still banging out some fitment issues on their prototype.

I'm also very interested in this exhaust. Great looks, great price, a bit raspy but for the most part sounds great. I also like the fact that they include an optional silencer, and I think they're also making a version that includes the s-pipe. I'd like to hear the Greddy EVO II with the ZPI mid & s pipe(a much more expensive alternative) before I make my final decision.

yeah iam sure there are tons of things to do to make it not melt the bumper, but id rather wait till they fix the exhaust so i dont have to fabricate anything.

Yea I use to hate those mufflers seemed so ricey but now with this exhaust iam really starting to like it. Plus the price is awesome.

To be honest I'm not sure, it may have had a header.

The only one I heard is from this post:

im going with an apexi WS muffler with custom piping. i dont see why everyone is paying so much for cat backs. the MR is cheap because they dont have a name yet, once they establish a name for themselves prices will sky rocket. the exhaust is very good though, i would get it, but there is not cat...so its not gonna work for me.

Haha I didn't even realize. It's 2am give me a break

Maybe raspy wasn't really the word I was looking for. Could have just been the video. I really do like the sound overall, though, and I think once megan gets all of the bugs worked out I will be ordering this exhaust!

lol its really simple to do what he did......just get one of those clamps from any local auto store and just tighten it around the last hanger than holds the canister up. it drops it a bit and prevents from melting.

would that hose clamp evenutally cut the rubber? so a mistake would happen. i mean you might end up with another kid.

You will be fine with the clamp on the hanger, it takes years and years for that rubber to dry rot.
