I was wondering if anyone has heard more information about the new megan header coming out? Megan informed me they will be replacing my old header for no cost once they finish it. I believe it was suppose to be done in mid-June but I haven't heard anything from them.

In other related news, my CEL isn't coming on anymore, all of a sudden it just stopped (about 800 miles now).. maybe the pre-cat shooting out was a good thing?

 

I just called megan racing this late afternoon. They said there the new revised header is done and shipment should be here in two weeks, hope that helps I'm kinda of curious myself.

i'm actually running one of the 2 new design headers they came out with......i'm not sure who the other person that is running the new header with the new cat but i have the one without the cat and it feels a lot better with more response and a bit louder....

 

Really, how did you get your hands on it already? I'm probably getting the one with the cat, cause I want to keep it as quiet as possible.

they used my car for test fitting and to see how it performed.....i was told by calvin that it would create around 10 hp more than the one with the cat.....and no cell and i've driven over 800 miles but its funny cuz the old megan header i had the CEL would come on den turn off by itself after 2 days

Clearly, if that is what calvin meant, he wasn't talking about whp.

 

I have one of the ones that the screen came out, what a pain. I want the new design but i can't put it on myself and don't want to spend ANOTHER 100 bucks getting the new one installed.

Yea i was told by Calvin who i talked to regarding the header at megan racing and was told that the header that i have which is the one WITHOUT the cat would produce about 10 more hp not sure if he meant whp or not....i'll be putting up pictures of the new header in about 30 min so check out my cardomain page for the pics

 

If the new ones are goin to be more powerful, i will trade it. I got mine thru creativecompacts.com, so would i get it replaced thru them or thru meganracing??

OR, if since mine has no cat now, does that give it more power, and i should just leave it??

those new megan headers you have.. are they loud? is your exhaust raspy? i'm highly interested in a set of headers and waiting to hear more reviews from you for the Megan Racing one.

 

the new headers are a bit louder and i do have some raspyness.....i have a custom cat back system with a thermal research muffler on it and after i reach about 4000 rpms i hear a bit of rasp but not too much....i'll take some pictures later today cuz my camera is charging

so anyone got their new replacement header?? I just checked the megan racing website and they have posted their replacement offer for the old version header for the updated one. I'm thinking about giving the new version a try but not sure...

 

they told me they would email me when it's available, im still waiting..
