I recently purchased a megan racing short shifter for my scion tc and i have a question about the purple aluminum bushings that it came with. Are there bushings for the cage or for the shifter cables? Thanks

 

Are there 2 or 4? 2 would be for the shifter cables located under your air box, and if there are 4, then that is for your cage. Hope this helps.

the purple ones are for the cage. Take out the rubber ones that are all ready in there and replace them with the purple ones. They go on the bottom of the cage. Just be careful cause its a pain making sure that they stay when your putting everything back together. Good luck and its a great shifter!

 

wat benifits come from changing the cage bushings? i never changed em

 

You get a more "solid" feel. Its easier to SHIFT and a lot cleaner shift.

definitely put them in, i skipped out when i put the cc shifter in two before i swapped the purple ones in, much nicer made me wish i had done it earlier

 

yeah put them in!! much more solid of a feel! be sure to get some doc i's delrin base bushings that go under the air box/intake, makes a big difference as well and change your transmission oil to synthetic!

very easy install take like 10mins.. Not a whole lot of difference but more crisp shifting.. Since u have it might as well....
