Default Megan S pipe not sealing???

Anyone having a problem sealing the s-pipe to the header? I used the stupid dounut gasket they supplied, but it's not sealing 100%.

What did people use to get this to seal????

you need to use a different bolt not the OE bolt on the stock header, to make it thread farther in. just buy the same size bolt and get some washers but use the spring.

So keep the stock springs, just use the longer bolts?
What about the bolts Megan supplied?

I also have the Alphawerks header. Would that make it more difficult to seal???

springs are there so it has play since its a donut gasket type. I dont remember what bolt i used , its been awhile. it should be a 14mm and get a washer big enough to hold the springs.

Got it sealed, but I am throwing the CEL even with the MMW antifouler ??? Any ideas, or does it throw the code then eventually go away. I think it is a code ending in 0031???

MMW antifouler , is not even guaranteed to eliminate cel at all. thats just 50$ down the drain.

read the code again and just search it thru google. OBD2 codes are not vehicle specific.

I had to reset my ECU about 3 times before the CEL stayed off.

About your leak problem, How did you get it sealted? What size bolts did you use?

I currently have the stock s-pipe and megan header, I didn't notice a leak but it's possible.

You can try taking it back and they'll proly give u anotha gasket or if der super koo dey'll put it on for you, if not take it to a muffler shop n dey mite check it out for u for free if dey have free tym n u can get a better gasket for like 5 bux or more.

My buddy had the same problem with his exhaust and went out and bought me a differnt type of gasket????

I am pretty ____ed that the MMW didn't do the trick. Any recommndations on which type to go with? I have the Alphawerks Header, Megan S-Pipe combo.

The OBD2 code it for the front 02, which doesn't make any sense.

DoubleJ, how did you reset your computer?

Just disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it off for 5-10 minutes.. When you connect it again it'll be reset and the CEL will go away.

On my car, the CEL came back again in about 100-200 miles, so I had to reset it again. I think I did this 3 or 4 times until it actually stayed off. Now, it has been off for about 6,000 miles.

BTW, I do have spark plug anti-fouler's installed on the s-pipe and still had to reset it 3 or 4 times before the CEL stayed off.

Hmm someone should try 3 antifoulers lined up, instead of 2. Wonder if it fits.

Turbonetics uses a really long o2 boss, and they havent had problems.

3 would probably work great but i don't think the 02 sensor wire is long enough.. it's kinda tight with just 2 anti-fouler's on there..

It might just barely work but it's going to be stretched very tightly.

Either that or Email Turbonetics to see if they can sell you their o2 Boss. The part # is 21376 as pictured.
