Default Megan s-pipe problems. please help.

I am trying to install my megan s-pipe to a megan header and the stock midpipe..

I'm having a problem, it seems like the s-pipe will not fit into the stock midpipe.. The small piece that sticks out of the pipe is larger then the one of the stock s-pipe. It will not go into the midpipe and sit flush..

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there 2 difference versions of the s-pipe maybe??

why dont you complain first to the place you got it from ?

^ as said above its a at least a 1/2 metal that goes on the spipe.

a lil history on the spipe issue before

heres why they included a spacer

S-Pipe... okay.

Well here's the deal, the S-Pipe's have a weird deal with them. We've been having this flange issue lately where the flange kinda has about 1/4" of piping sticking out past the flange. This is done on OEM because it lets you eliminate the gasket, and makes installation easier.
When I did the designs and sent the OEM sample in, I didn't expect the factory to make that damn 1/4 sticking out.
What can you do? Well... the fix is easy. Any exhaust shop will have a flange on hand that you can easily use as a spacer. You put the flange sandwiched between the S-Pipe and Mid-Pipe flanges and you use a gasket and the VOILA!!! It works.
This has been done and tested and is basically the option that you have with this setup. You can also have the 1/4" cut off... but that's just hard to do and time consuming.
There will be an updated version, but I don't know when that's coming in, we have to purge these out first. Is there anything wrong with them other than that? Nope. They work fine.
Many people use an O2 Sensor spacer to prevent the CEL. But if you do that, then the end of the O2 sensor will hit the chassis, so you'll have to use an O2 simulator if you're also using a De-Cat header such as the Megan Header.
I'M SORRY FOR THE DELAY AND BEING SO HARD TO GET A HOLD OF.... D1 killed me and I was on break for a while. BUT I'M BACK! Working with Paul (good man by the way), TC Motorsports, and Kevin from Nor Cal to get more parts out to the TC community and work out all the bugs.

THANKS FOR THE PATIENCE GUYS!!

You have to cut that little piece off. I cut mine off an sealed it with the gasket they supplied. There is nothing wrong with the pipe, they just manufactured it wrong I believe.

Cut it off with saw and bolt her on. If you have any questions AIM me or PM me. I am sucessfully running the megan spipe with their catback.

I will cut it off it they don't send me the spacer..

I just didn't want to go through all that.

zer0, if I purchase the megan catback system will I be able to use this s-pipe without cutting it?

Also, if I cut it am I going to have to make it completely flat? If so, I'm going to have to cut it then grind it down.

That gasket that is in the pic is pretty much paper thin (the same thickness of the gasket in between the block & the header).. My s-pipe came with that, but it didn't help at all. I think I need something thicker.

One more small question,

The bolts that they supplied, do they replace the bolts in between the header & s-pipe or the bolts in between the s-pipe & midpipe? They're the same size and I didn't quite make it to that step last night.

I spoke with megan (I emailed them late last night, and they replied back a few minutes ago).

They told me that they're making some spacers right now and they will send it out ASAP.
