Default Mild ticking sound from motor, any ideas?

When my car warms up, which i always let it do before driving off. I can hear a mild ticking sound coming from the engine. It speeds up as my rpms go up and slows down with the engine as well. Its not very loud but has me pretty concerned. My car is a 08 tc 5spd with only 9100 miles on the motor and Ive done the oil changes myself at the 3000 mile intervals with mobil 1 oil.
I guess i should just take it to the dealer but i don't want them to say "oh....that sound, thats normal don't worry about it"and then my warranty run out and me be stuck with something wrong with my engine. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Brian

Probably a combination of the fuel injectors and valve tic. Mine does the same thing.

yeah i was thinking valves but didn't know that ticking comes from the fuel injectors, but it sounds like this might be common for the tc engine? thanks for the quick replies btw

toyota has had that famous ticking since they started making cars......it is normal, and is louder during summer too.......if you notice a loss of power or clanking or rattle then you hvae issues.

yea it's normal, dont worry about it. I've noticed it since I had my tC and it has 146,000 miles on it, and still does it. As long as the car drives like it did when you first got it, then everything is ok
