Default Mixed opinions about changing ATF

So Ive been getting weird opinions in replacing my ATF.

I read the DIY in the tech section about changing tranny fluid and I thought I had the right idea. Apparently, 05-06 tc's take type-IV fluid and 07-08 take type WS fluid? Is that right?

I ran out to the garage to check my dipstick incase it stated which type to take. There was a label on my "black" dipstick that stated that the "ATF does not need to be changed under normal driving conditions. Refer to owners manual for more information." I noticed my other tc friends have a yellow dipstick. Maybe its different in the years?

My manual stated that the ATF needed to be changed at 30k. That contradicted what that label on the dipstick said. Im pretty confused.

I drive an 07 with about 40K miles.
Who has the right information on what I should do?

go by what your manual indicates.......if you havent changed your ATF yet at the recommended mileage then i would do so....depending on how often you drive the car.....if you bought the car brand new and you hit the 30k mile mark and did alot of driving then yea i would do it.....everyone does theres at different times......as far as kind of fluid not to sure everyone has there favorites......

yeah I have black dipstick so I suppose I dont need to change it?
My manual says to change it every 30k though. Id rather just change it to be safe. Are there any fluids that are WS in stores that I can replace it with?
