Default Modilicious

Hello, my name is Mo. My wife and I are thinking of getting the tc. I need to justify my purchase by seeing what mods I can do to the car to increase my mpg.
I read something about pulleys when I did a search in the forums. I would like an entire list of things I can mod and am requesting that if you use abbreviations that you spell what they mean as I am a literal noob to modding anything about a car other than adding Euro taillights to my ghettofied 1996 Honda Civic.

When you list out what I can modify, would you please, where feasible, post a link to where that item can be purchased and about how much to expect to pay for such a modification. Also, as you list of items to mod, please note whether a dummy like myself can do the mod or if I have to take it to a shop. Thank you so much in advance for any help. Mo.

the only mod you can buy that will increase you mile per gallon substantially is a different car.

if you don't call sitting in a dealership for 6 hours hard then no its fun lol. but seriously the cars gas mileage isn't that bad you just have to drive slow. (which is very hard to do for some peop;e)

If you lighten everything you'll get better mileage.

You'll want to look at the flywheel and wheels. A lightweight flywheel and a set of lightweight wheels will help a lot in acceleration. If you accelerate at the same pace as normal, you'll take use less fuel.

As far as engine components, there isn't a lot you can do unless you plan on swapping the final drive for a the Camry's. There's a 5spd A/T for the Camry but I have no idea if it'll fit in the tC as the Camry has significantly more engine space. If you're crazy, look into it.
