just installed the injen cai. dont see what all the fuss is about. took me mybe an hour and 15 mins. didnt take aff the bumper. i just pulled back the forward half of the plastic wheelwell gaurd. took mybe 20 seconds to get the lower half of the pipe in. feels great. no cel so far.

 

Did you let it idle for a few minutes after install so it the ECU could relearn?

 

ya after i installed it i let it idle while i but back the wheelwell and tire. i defenitly noticed a power gain. not enormous but definitly there

 

mine cut off on me the first time i cranked it up. No clue why. Re-checked everything, everything was perfect. Disconnected the battery prior to install too. Cranked right back up and has been just fine ever since. No CEL

 

Pair it up with an Injen SES

 

Ya... never a CEL on mine. Like this guy did, I let mine idle as I was putting the body parts back on.

 

No CEL here either. Very easy install, like the sound/gains. IMHO, Best BFB intake for the tC.

 

yeah i've never had a CEL come on yet either and it works great and sounds even better

 

I hope my CEL don't come on after I get my Injen intake installed.

 

If it does come on how can you fix that?

 

You may just need to reset the ECU (disconnecting the battery should do this anyways). Then when you start it for the first time, be sure to let it idle for at least 10 min to let the ECU calibrate itself to the new airflow.

If you still get a CEL, it could be the MAFS.

 

Can't wait to get mine installed.

I double checked my install like 4 times (aem cai), but still worry about an air leak and dirt getting in the engine. If there was any air leak, would I get a cel. Or would it just be too late when I found out?

As long as you clamped them as much as you could you don't have anything to worry about. It sounded excellent while I had it as well.

 

i have a cheap intake, thats what i am worried about too about leak
so i am getting injen cai very soon!

 

No CEL on mine. very happy, but my 14" rubber strip came loose, now i gotta fix that so my intake won't be hitting that steel part of the engine.

How much of a gain in HP do we get? and WHP?

I got the Ingen Intake too...LOVE it!
Just to be different I let mine idle for 15mins!!....And NO errors or anything!!

I optioned the Short Ram and the damn filter barely fit in the area....Plus the Air Filter that came w/ my Injen was ALL slippery and junk...

 

Took me forever to install mine, It was my first major car mod.
I let my car idle for 20 minutes, not a problem yet.

 

no CEL is always a plus
