I'm confused... what intake are you looking at? That link you gave goes to your stereo thread... no intake.

i dont knwo if there is gain, but im sure u will feel some... if u make a custom intake... try making it out of high quality heat resistant plastic. Plastic doesnt get heat soak as bad as the metal intakes... also make sure you keep your airfilter clean and you're fine..

im assuming you are gunna be doing short ram... you are prolly gunna lose alot of power in the low rms since ure auto.. but ull feel it in the higher..

hope this helped

Honestly... it's probably crap. And you'll likely end up with a CEL. One thing about these cheap intakes is the piping... if you check some of the others, the piping diameter is the OEM size where the MAFS is located - and the rest of the tubing is larger. With this intake, it's all 2.75" piping... so too much air is probably going to be going through and you'll likely get a CEL.

If you do choose to get this, I only have one thing to say:
I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Actually I was just noticing today that eBay is currently flooded with that one specific intake from a LOT of sellers. Ranging from $50 to $70 buy it now. I'm not sure who actually makes it b/c it seems to be just some random generic one... but I'd stay away.

I cringe at the thought of putting generic eBay Intakes on a tC!

I have exactly that same one, no CEL, and works like a wonder. IMO is better than spending $200+ On something that does the same as this. I like it a lot!, and repeat, NO CEL.

I scratched mine installing the second pipe to, but it looks good. and because it is alluminum I think it can be painted. About fitment I had to re-arrange mine cause I use a AEM Bypass Valve on it, you know, better safe than sorry. Sounds SUPER, about original fitment I wouldn't knoe because of the AEM Bypass. But it looks great, easy to install, just use the tech article here on Scion Life. I did feel power gains, clear results. Thumbs up in my opinion. Also I recommend taking the bumper off, way easier.

I dont think intakes help you save gas on your car, because i think that the more air you have in your car the more fuel you'll need so i dont think itll save gas. . .

No save on gas, even worse, cause you like the deep sound it makes, and because you want to hear it you press the pedal even more, just to hear it.

I have been using a similar intake for 4 month now and have had no problems with it (Never seen a CEL). The one I got came with a K&N filter though and didn't feel very cheap, it was the same as this I believe:

Here is how it looks in my car:
