Default Morning (and cold) Notchiness

When I first run my car in the morning, and occasionally when it gets cold, my shifter is pretty notchy, especially in 2nd gear. I know this is pretty normal, but I was just wondering if this was adding wear on my synchros. Anyone have a definitive answer? I've been looking into swapping my tranny fluid for a while now to redline or something of the sort and I'm hoping that it will help. Thanks in advance.

yeah it's fine man, as long as your not having to bear down on the shifter to get it into gear or anything. Are you running a short shifter? Switching to redline mt90 or pretty much any high end fully synth MTF would help to alleviate that issue and make shifting a bit smoother.

If you dont force your car into gears it doesnt want to be in then it sounds like you should switch your trans fluid. i have the redline mt90 in my car now.

Mine was the same way. I switched to the trd shifter and redline MT-90 and the car shifts a lot sweeter after warmed up, but still a bit notchy when cold
