Trust me when I tell you this it will be a lot easier to just pull both as a unit. While outside the car bolt the transmission up to the new motor and install as a unit than just to separate the trans and pull the engine.

Yes but you will still have to almost drop the transmission so it would be a lot easier to pull as a unit.

One person it would be difficult to pull the engine just by itself, it is possible but takes much more time. Axles are easy if you have the right socket for the axle nuts and either an impact gun or someone to step on the brake pedal so you can break the nut loose.

Unbolt everything and lift it out!

Sorry I had 2.

Unbolt the transmission first, you may get by without doing this but it would be a complete pain if you don't. Remove both axles, seperate the transmission and brace it. Disconnect everything from the engine and lift it out.

Someone else needs to chime in cause I am telling you will regret not just pulling both. You will see how much of a pain it is to seperate the trans and getting it bolted together when its in the vehicle vs out.
