i have energy suspension motormounts form dezod, and they work great, the power just goes straight to the wheels and i never get any wheel hop or engine torqueing.

You should be able to find a few old threads about them if you'll search. There were several people here upgrading them a couple years ago, and there was at least one "how-to" thread, including instructions on how to improve the stock item yourself, by using a readily available firm silicone type compound.

i had the speed source ones, and with a stage 3 clutch, and a supercharger....i now have torque cracks in my block. (gotta love the chemical properties of aluminum). i think the best and cheapest and biggest waste of money would be the inserts, as they are the "easy" way of going about it. other than that i wouldnt recommend the "real" mounts unless if it was a track car. i was able to spin the tires dumping the clutch at 1500 rpm(no flooring it either actually feathering the gas)....no stalling just wanted to GO. actually recall getting a chirp into 4th gear(kinda scared me).

get a stiffy and be happy.

With just the turbo, the torque steer was ridiculous.

Later I got the ingalls stiffy, which helped out some.

Now I have the speedsource mounts ^^ there is a gigantic difference now. =D I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I'm thinking of putting the ingalls stiffy back on as well, just for the hell of it, lol. I'll see if there is anything noticeable difference.

But motor mounts are more than enough, imho.

now? after putting everything back to stock?... syncros on 2nd grind when pushed...oh and today 3rd gave me a little grind too.curious? really have to baby it. no more slamming gears for me, especially at commuting 100 miles a day. so for your 400+ id invest something to an LSD and perhaps "bulletproof " the tranny (rebuild)

i dont think ill ever work a sideways mounted engine again...i guess that means front wheel too. if you have the money, time and a spare car you have nothing to worry about.

BTW mr. Slacker(thread starter) if you want my speedsource mounts ill sell them to you good price, they've been sitting in my garage for a few months and they are installed in my stock mounts already so all you have to do is swap mounts. and you will still have your stock ones to switch back too...not like me having to buy new ones, they're not cheap!lol

I did a tranny swap with my friends recently.

I'm babying this tranny, lol. Next time I go to the track,

I won't be dumping the clutch ^^ I don't want to have to do another swap annnnyyyy timeeee soooooon.

I had thought about an LSD, though.

But my Z give me enough traction ^^ to not want to get it on my tc, lol.
