what type of MT-90 did you use? That would be good to know too...

 

redline mt-90 prolly

manual tranmission fluid

 

ok...i figured it had something to do with either the transmission or the drivetrain in general

 

i used redline its great

 

yup much smoother than stock

 

how was the flush?... Never done it before, but plan on flushing all my fluids prior to my turbo install...

well do it the same way i did....go to your local shop and have them do it...i got it done from my shop for $20....IMO since ive never done it before i didnt want to screw my only car up

and talk to Car Candy....i got my Redline MT-90 at Summit Racing for $8.95 a bottle...and steve buy 3 bottles

 

Replaced mine as well with Redline mt-90 and it helped a little. When its cold its still the same but when its warmed up 2nd, 3rd, & 4th goes in easier than before.

I might try AMSOIL next time to see if it makes a difference to Redline.

 

Mt-90 worked great with the doc I shortshifter and bushings. Now everything is shifting so smooth

i've been wanting to get the mt-90 for awhile!

i heard amazon has it for a pretty good price. sucks we need like 3 bottles of it though :p haha

 

i had redline for a bit, and now amsoil. i can safely say redline is better. though its close, redline is still better for smooth shifting. i cant say much more past that :]

the initial switch to redline was a HUGE difference though.

 

$9 plus shipping on amazon, i bought it there, though i followed the DIY thread it was pretty easy... like milkman said this fluid change plus short shifter and bushings makes a difference

 

Support our vendors people. It's the reason you have a board to even post this up. I can't believe you'll buy fro a non vendor just to save $1.

 

+1 on Redline MT-90. Things to watch out for - don't overtorque the bolts when reinstalling and make sure the metal gaskets get back on the bolts. I had the gasket off the drain bolt fall into the drain pan and didn't realize it until I had everything put back together. I had to remove the bolt, put the gasket on, and re-plug the drain without dropping more MT-90 than I had left
