Thumbs up My new CARB Legal INtake..yay!

Here are the pictures of my New CARB Legal K&N Intake!

It uses pieces of my Stock Box!..

And came with a Metal Badge saying CARB Exempt too!

Its not as good as my INJEN Brand...There's a slight hesitation from the K&N but sounds pretty mean!

So, knowing I wont get in trouble with this makes me feel good now!

TeeCizzle, looks good.

Curious, does it continue to use the intake hose that goes in the fender, or is this just pulling air from the inside?

Thanks!

Pulls air from the insaide like a SRI theres a suppplied heatshield so the air is somewhat isolated I guess.

This is old. I don't think people really like it or see an improvement with it.

I do believe they've had this for quite a while - started with the 07s I think?

I didn't realize anyone would bother to buy one though. I can't imagine they do much of anything except make a little noise. I mean any other intake really does very little except make a lot of noise - but this can't do much more than that.

I'm sure you could get some tubing to put behind the fender to draw in some colder air. Not that an intake does much, but it looks nice none the less.

how do you figure an intake doesnt do much? it is a key feature in feeding air to any combined set of parts.

Not trying to turn this in to a debate, but this has been discussed many times. An intake barely adds any power/torque. Nothing you can feel anyway. Money is better spent elsewhere. You can ask many people on here, they will say the same thing.

I feel like this is going to end up being locked if this discussion doesn't end now. Do some research.

Well living in California it MATTERS...

especially when I got popped and issued a State Ref ticket!..

This Intake is only for the 05-06 model.

This has a CARB Exempt plaque w/ it.....

And it does have a Power feel to it NOT as much as my INJEN intake....I gotta be legal!!!....not taking chances!

Surprisingly...when u gas it it does have a Mean Sound to it.

Actuallly an Intake does make a Huge difference in Torque! Case in point when driving w/ a regular stock air box and traveling Up Hill at 75MPH it kinda lags so You would have to gas More to keep the Momentum going....When I had my INJEN intake I had NO lag going up hill....This K&N one is a cross between both.

my research has been done, and i've got 192.8whp and 196.1 torque. so i think it adds to the bigger picture.

It says it is only for 05-06 but it uses the stock top of the air box so you can use it on a 07-up because you wont have to worry about the MAF sensor changes.
