Default N/A tC and power parts/tuning

I was looking into the descendant intake manifold, and I was wondering if anyone out there had any information on what kind of power gains can be seen with a tC running I/H/E. My long term plans are to boost the tC but that wont be for at least another year or so. So, I am looking for numbers or projected gains with an N/A setup. Any answers that point me in the direction would help.

Ive also heard something about a descendant piggy back ecu tuning system similar to that of the hondata set up. Anything on that out there???

And last but not least, has anyone seen any dyno info on the BC stage 1 or 2 cams for the n/a tc???

thanks for your help guys

I haven't seen any dyno's of tc's on any bc cams. I don't think anyone has. A tc running I/H/E light or under driven pullies and intake manifold tuned should get you around 180-190 whp if it is tuned correctly. I have seena dyno of a tc that had I/H/E only and was tuned via e-manage he made 180whp and 175wtq look it up it is posted somewhere in this section of the forum.

Hmm..I dont wanna say this but it is obvious if you really think about it. If your boosting in a year or so then getting I/H/E is not going to do you any good. If anything, your just wasting your time and money. Save up and you might get you turbo quicker. Quality I/H/E will probably run you a little over a grand. If I was you and was really itchy for some performance, I would work on the suspension aspect of your ride. Get a decent coilover kit or even an LSD for additional traction. But if you must get parts now..then I am pretty interested in the gains for an aftermarket intake manifold. Get that and post some dynos. One advice to give you is, if you dyno..make sure its a good dyno and always use the same dyno for documentation.

we all would like to see a 3rd party do a dyno with an aftermarket intake manifold.

Well I already have the I/H/E and lightened crank pulley setup. and that did run me about $1,500 but that includes s pipe and mid pipe. I have both front and rear strut tower bars, front and rear sway bars, and I am currently saving for coilovers. Im running on s-techs currently, and am looking at either K&W or Tein ss-p setup. The boost issue is due to my paying the car off cause once I have my monthly payments freed up to be mod money I wont be as worried about popping the motor.

for those that are watching this thread with interest I am currently running fujita cold air, megan header, s-pipe, mid pipe and greddy ti-c exhaust with a brothers racing lightened crank pully.

I dynoed at jotech in 102 degree heat at 152.6whp and 151.6ft.

Welcome to texas being the ninth ring of hell.

I will re-run those numbers after I have the intake manifold on and if I can dyno again in cooler weather before and after instal.

I am still looking for any info you guys can give on the tuning issues ... thanks

Sry Dude but those are super wishful numbers and your not gonna get 180whp with I/H/E on this car even with a tune. Except maybe with race gas but thats just speculation. I call BS on whoever posted those numbers with those mods.
