Default Intake pipe in fender lining help!

So the part that connects to the filter which sits in the fender lining (i think?) it getting a hole drilled by a piece sticking out? I'm not sure if you guys understand.. I'd post a picture but my camera just died. Anyway, it's not exactly visible unless you look for it, but I'd rather fix it ASAP for when I sell it. I stuck a piece of newspaper between the piece sticking out and the pipe, but I'd rather find a permanent solution

Is the hole touching the intake at all? If it isn't just pull the piece out and it'll be fine. Also with the second pic, fujita did a horrible job with the solenoid so you can either leave it hanging or you can shove it in so it'll stay.

Oh alright cool. And yeah the piece rubs into the intake, but with the newspaper stuck b/w them it's fine. I was just wondering if anyone else had the problem and if/how they fixed it. Thanks though!

edit: quick question.. how do you know so much about cars? im 3 years older and i still dont know much
