Default Need Advice before Tomorrow Morning. Rattling Exhaust Issue.

Something under my Car has been Rattling for the past Week, and it's been bugging the heck out of me.
I immediately thought of the Exhaust, but couldn't find the culprit, so I checked for Loose Wiring under the Hood, and started Tweaking over my Suspension.
I just put the Car on Ramps, and I'm almost 100% sure that this is the cause..

Can I take this piece off? I was going to when I Installed the Exhaust, but figured it was there in case the Mid-Pipe fell apart or something. There's maybe like a few Millimeter Gap between the Pipe and that piece, every time I hit a bump that sorta' raises the Car up, it hits it.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Yea my exhaust rattles on that too because the clamp that joins my cat that was welded in sits right above that black bar thingy. I read in other threads that it's just there as a precaution so that if your exhaust comes apart it will fall onto that black support rather than the street. So yes, you can take it out. Hope that helped lol dang this was a long post..

Sweet. I figured it was just some form of safety or something.. I'm almost certain that's the cause of the rattle.. It's gotta' be. I mean, the Car's only got 8k Miles on it. I'll take it off tonight and see if it still makes noise during the ride to Work tomorrow.

If thats the true cause of the noise, then I'm going to buy longer bolts and put that thing back on, use washers to keep it away, just to be safe.

True. I've been ignoring the noise mine makes because its rough getting under there to check it out and move the clamp over. Goodluck!

Invest in those cheap Ramps at Walmart! They come in handy.
Thanks a lot! Will Update tomorrow with a Verdict.

looking at the picture that is your issue, mine rattled at redlights like crazy after putting on my Apexi Canister,it can be put on in same spot with a spacer and longer bolt or left off,it is just there to keep exhaust on if it breaks off for some reason.
