Hey guys, I got a 07 auto tC....G@Y but i have to live with it for so time, but want to add a little more to the engine. I have read some reviews on a guy saying that he was getting some vibrations from his engine since he put them on and didn't recommend them? Also, if getting new pulley's, what would you recommend and what pulley's are the most important to change out? I am still learning new things about new pulley's so any advice would be helpful. Thanks and sorry if this question is asked frequently.

 

make sure they are name brand. i never noticed a difference in noise/vibrations/performance. they were kinda just there lol

 

So if I were to get the NST Crank, Alt, Water Pump 3 PIECE PULLEY KIT (NST02020K) I should be set? Or do I have to order a new belt as well? Sorry again if these are obvious questions...I am still pretty new at aftermarket pulley's.

 

you will need a new belt as well. i cant remember what one you need but the nst website should be able to tell you

 

I read that our crank pulley has a damper on it and replacing it could be badddddd, unless the new pulley also has a damper on it.

I was also looking into pulleys when I heard about the side effects of getting them.

Around 1% of everyone who has installed the nst pulley has had a problem, and at least half of them are from improper installation. I'd go with the nst underdrive crank pulley if you want to add some pep.


Honestly, you can pep up your car fairly cheap. I have a giant thread on my "ebay" brand intake, header and exhaust that cost less than $300 shipped to my door over 1 year ago, and have had zero problems with them.

So you would only recommend getting the underdrive crank pulley and forget about the water pump and the alt?

You also say a levy low percent of people installed it improperly....how is there a wrong way to install it. lol

Also thanks for that ebay thread...awesome work......I got my CAI, upper carbon fiber grill (plastic) and some other little accessories for my tC lol...I am a fan of ebay as well.

 

Where there's a will (and a hammer/impact, as well as an uneducated person), theres a way..

My pulley (which i purchased from a member on here) is proof of that. It literally looks like someone tried to put it on using nothing but a sledge hammer.:?

The more NST pulleys you use, the more throttle response, hp, and torque you will free up. You will need to use a new belt, and we list the proper belt numbers on our website.
