I recently installed my OBX header with the S-pipe, then I had a custom catback exhuast from the s-pipe to the TRD muffler. I also have a resonator. Hears my problem, it sounds like crap, the resonator rattles and makes it sound really ricy and the muffler itself sounds horrible. Could I get a new muffler, the one Im looking at is the HKS HI power muffler and I want to put the silencer on it, or do I need another resonator? Im not sure what to do, Im not sure what will solve my problem, I know its gonna be loud, that I can handle just not the bad sound.

 

an additional resonator would help. a high flow cat would control the sound even better.

magnaflow would be a nice choice for a new muffler. I have the precision muffler axleback on my car (uses a magnaflow can) and even with an opened up exhaust, it's only loud when i get on it. the HKS is loud an raspy, even if it's the only exhaust mod on the car.

 

Would it be a good idea to get the same resonator or does it really matter. Because Ive thought about it and the resonator makes a lot of noise like it cant handle what its getting.

The good thing about all this is when I get on my car it sounds amazing. But in low gear it sounds loud and obnocious.
