Default Need to tighten Serpentine Belt

Pronounced squealing noise getting worse over the past 2 months. A few searches haven't yielded any results... I imagine it's just a tensioner bolt to tighten, but I don't want to screw anything up. Any tips, suggestions, or procedures?

Check your belt to see if it's starting to crack, you probably have to change the serpentine belt. You can't adjust the serpentine belt on a tC, the tensioner pulley is self-adjusting.

There is no adjustment on the tensioner. Check your belt and see if its really worn down or cracked. Also see if your belt is loose, you should only be able to push it a little.

The tc uses a hydrualic tensioner, so theres no adjusting. Try checking the ribs on the belt and insure theres no cracking, etc. ALso check the belt tenson by seeing if you can twist it. You can also try pullling on the tensioner (like you would to relieve tension to take off the built) - if its easy to turn, than the hydraulic part on the tensioner may have failed, and it will need to be replaced.

So if the serpentine belt is showing any wear/cracks and needs to be replaced, would I follow steps 1-3, 7, 26-29 listed here:

^Yep. It's not too hard to replace the belt. The worst part is getting the new belt on. I broke my ratchet on the tensioner bolt when I had the belt halfway on. I just barely let the engine crank until it was fully on the pulleys. Probably not the best thing for the belt, but I needed to get it on.
