Alright well my clutch is going out and was wondering what is a good clutch/flywheel combo for a full bolt -on setup right now but plan to go turbo/supercharger in the future.

 

ive heard good things about fidanza fly wheels
heard good stuff about ACT and Competition Clutch haha
sorry im not much help never had an after market one installed before..but i have felt excedy's organic clutch on my buddies wrx and it felt nice =)

 

it matters how much boost your planning on running.. because from all motor to boost is a completely different level clutch..if you want a mild boost set up then get the act street clutch and probably a 12 lbs pulley.. since i plan on boosting past 300 and want a good gripping clutch i went with a competition stage 5 clutch and 9 lbs pulley.. (plus i got a deal on it) haha

 

i'm on bolt ons only, and i'm running with a act street clutch with a lightweight fidanza flywheel. it's daily-driveable, and feels so much better.

 

^^ yup that's the way to go.. but when you go boosted you might want a better clutch because you don't want to pay twice for a clutch install..

dont get aluminum flywheels, get the steel like competition flywheels

 

oops haha yes i mean flywheel.. i was looking up pulleys just now and got it stuck in my head..

 

well im thinking possibly more like 500hp with the turbo im going to go with from turbochargers.com

500 hp? lol ur gonna have to change more than that... not just clutch and flywheel.. i'd change your pistons and engine internals...

Competition Clutch Stage 2 clutch and Forged Steel flywheel. Great combo. Car Candy has them available in the vendor section. The best street combo and cheaper than ACT. Stay away from aluminum flywheels. Very dangerous.

 

srry off topic how long did ur stock one last?

 

its going out right now at about 86,500, and the owner previous to me grinded the ____ out of it so im guessing stock on should last u a good bit over 100,000 if it wasnt grinded but on occasion.
