Default New Header Mod

I got a new mod and I made it invisible to law enforcement. Tell me what ya think.

I used to have a Alphawerks header and I made the stock heat shield fit by cutting it and bending it a lil bit. And I secured it by using a hose clamp.

I got a different header and took a different approach. I put the 07' tC heat shield on the new header because it fit better.

Now the heat shield bolts on and off just like the factory header so if I ever get pulled over and am forced to "pop my hood" I will be safe as far as the header goes.

NOW YOU SEE IT

NOW YOU DON'T

Now I wonder...you can still pass smog with all those?...
I take it you are talking about passing the visual but doesn't the header make it so you can not pass smog?

Correct you will not pass smog. But if you get pulled over you will have a better chance of not getting a ticket w/the heat sheild. FYI on 05-06's if you have a DC style header the stock heatsheild will fit with no modifications. Just need to fab up some small mounts so it doesn't rattle all over the place.

What do you mean by no megans??? If your asking if it will fit on a megan header, it will. I tried both style heat sheilds but the 07 just fit better.

And as far as smog goes... This "stealth" header cover does not make it smog legal. If anything this is the most legal header out there because it has a pre-cat on it. Unlike all the other headers that just have straight through piping.

The megan header with precat? I remember those and the cats end up buring out, but it looks like there is one there which counts in most states. And as far as the head shield goes it looks good but how do you plan on securing it? I see in the pics it is just layed on.
On a side note, can anyone confirm a change in the header design for 07? I was working on my friends and it looks like the runners are set up a little differently.
