Default New hot pics of MEGAN! header and s-pipe that is :)

Ok I will give a quick review as dinner is about done

Install was a pain in the ****. Had to take out the alternator, stock heatsheild was destroyed during the removal and the second 02 sensor was practically welded to the factory s-pipe. It took me 30 minutes of 1/2mm movements back and forth to get the stupid thing out. Totally retarded. Not sure what they did at the factory to do that, but I assume they put the bung on the sensor and then welded it in! If you saw the stupid thing you would know what I mean! Threads were mostly toast when I took it off. I used my handy titanium tap set and re-threaded the o2 sensor body. It worked! Put it all back together, cleaned all of header with rubbing alc. fired her up....

Surprise! Sounded almost totally stock woohoo! I was happy about that But the funny thing is, it seems like the supercharger went up about 3 db in volume inside and outside the car! That was a welcome change. Upon wot I do hear a very very light noise like it is trying to be raspy but just cannot make the note. Another thing I noticed was with the stock header at idle you really did not feel allot of air coming out the exhaust. Now it blows pretty steady! Next upgrade is the cat back from precision....

Build quality of the header and s-pipe were both first rate. The collector could have been nicer but a minor complaint. Detail work was awesome on the inside runners on the header. Everything was very smooth and flowed well to the eye. All gaskets fit tight like a glove. For $340 shipped for the header and s-pipe combo, I could not ask for more. Heck if I did not know what the Megan header cost and I saw it in a shop for sale for $400 I would think it was in the right price range for the build quality

So far I have not thrown a cell! No idea why, ran her for about 30 minutes tonight. Sometimes ripping the tires, sometimes cruising. No matter, no cell and I am happy so far

As for performance, WOW! I cannot believe the difference! The only way to describe it is "the motor has been set free!!!" The difference is like when you have a heavy load in the back of a truck and you can feel it. Then when you take the load out the truck responds tons better! I am not comparing the tc to a truck by any means but I hope you get the picture. Car just pulls so smooth yet hard from 4K- redline! Massive noticeable difference. Felt like the other night when I had two buddies in the car, then when I dropped them off, the car felt quick again. With a killer aftermarket pulley like the NST I run making more boost, a header is a MUST!!

Anyways I give the install process a 6 out of 10 skill wise. I good tool selection is needed to complete this install.

I give the header and the gain a 10 out of 10!!! I am very happy I chose the Megan

<Says in grandma school teacher voice> Good essay young man! You hit all the points, disscussed everything in detail, and made it easy to read. But I had to take a few points off for grammar and spelling

Nice write up man, the Megan stuff is pretty nice

nice job...... I was wondering... do the header primary tubes look like they are equal length?

I have the AW header and you know they're different. But a lot of people complain about the noise they make so I believe that it's because the AW doesn't have equal length runners/tubes..

Hopefully this new Megan Header I get is the new one.. I had the old one and it also wasn't a bad purchase.. other than my welds breaking on me Sunday

The version I have is the latest, no cracks yet. Build quality looks to be top notch. Also they are not quite equal length. The header assemblie is offset to the right / drivers side.
