Default New. Just some help here n there.

Whats up guys. I just did my first oil change today. on 3000 miles ish. Brand new 2008. Pretty new with cars as far as engines and stuff. Im pretty good at DIY and electronics Ive done all my cathode lighting and LED lighting in my car.

Im basically looking to spend some money to keep my car running nicely and I would like to make it faster. Is there any different ways to help me engine and keep it in good condition and Im looking to buy some things to make it run faster. Im trying to soup it up a bit so I can do some racing down the line. Whats gunna make my car go faster without jumping and grabbing a turbo right now.

Any tips or help on where to get some nice parts and some help on whats good and what not to get. Thanks for the help guys.

Well besides an exhaust...Getting anything else if you are going to get a turbo is a big waste...cause you have to put the stockies back on and such after

If I was going to get a turbo what kind of gas would I be putting in? How much would the turbo be running me, and How big of a difference will it make in my car as far as torque and HP?

well ive never owned a turboed car but there are A LOT of subies up here haha..as far as what octane i know it was in the mid 90s haha but in ak i think the highest we have is 91..so what most people do is mix some torco in when they fill up

turbo price depends on what you want.you can look up turbotoyotas, dezod, greddy, turbonetics just to name a few.
so say you get a 4000 kit. on top of that you have to pay for shipping, install, tune, and guages just to name a few things.the way i think about it is prepare to pay double of the kit for everything heh

as for the difference..that depends on what you get as well
but i think going from 160 hp to 200+ WHP is a pretty big difference =)

You would want to put in the highest octane available except race gas.. so 93/91 depending on where you live.

To give you some rough estimates. On my setup(see profile) I made 308.5WHP @ 8.9psi. So that is a hell of an increase compared to stock. Especially on low boost.

Well there are plenty of routes to take as far as whos kit to purchase.

I always recommend Dezod, as everyone knows they have the best customer service and a phenominal kit. Other competitors are:
TurboToyotas
Greddy
Turbonetics
Used ZPI Kit(Out of Business)
Treadstone
Sound Performance?

The price of each kit varies, reason I went with Dezod is I could customize what I wanted to fit my needs which you cannot do with Turbonetics, Greddy, ZPI, Treadstone. So I would go with Dezod or Turbo Toyotas. Price can run you anywhere from $2500-$5000
