wait so let me get this straight, u spent $300 on a k&n drop intake ($50 at advance auto parts), a plastic pipe, and a heat shield?

i just removed the resonator and plugged in with a 3/4 inch pipe plug i get it in home depot

You'll love it boxer. Aside from the fact that it's the only CARB legal intake, it produces a sound that other intakes for the TC don't make. It also has smooth feel throughout the powerband unlike other intakes that just move it around.

uhsentc, it's not a K&N drop-in filter from Advance Auto Parts. Sorry if my previous posts were confusing. The argument for what intake has the most value-ebay, DIY, Injen, AEM, K&N etc-can go on for days, but the K&N CARB legal intake has its merits that justify the price for some. It's a great product.

Does this adapter plate actually exist or would I have to fabricate something to get it to fit my 2008? Details welcome...
