Default New to the Scion online world..

Hi to all American tC owners I am a proud owner of a ice blue 07 Scion tC. I joined Scion Life to improve my ability to customize and see what others are doing to customize there tC. I for one like power and the tC is not classified by me as powerful but I have plans for the other women she will receive a partial over haul in hopes of having a dominating import coupe. The 2.4L defiantly has potential. I had a rod bearings go out on Cyl 1 and 2 so i've been through the entire engine and know what i got. my first initial plan for the 2AZ is a Dezod Turbo. I've done very few modifications and even less bolt on parts but i want to leave most of the engine bay looking stock other than the turbo. i want to invest in only engine internals and a turbo and a standalone ecu. i do not want to waste my money and from the knowledge i have from online research and hands on experience with Chevy sb. most bolt on products are over priced and over sold no bolt on part other than NOS can gain over 15hp at the wheels. to really bring an engine to life you must have the internals as light and gaps as tight as possible and to have a precise flow of air in fuel in each Cyl to produce strong equal power. this will result in the highest possible gains in any internal combustion engine naturally aspirated or turbo. so saying that my plan is once I have a turbo and standalone installed after about another 25-50k miles on the turbo I plan to get a 2.6 stroker and bore kit along with Dezod ported and polished head and completely over haul the engine to its maximum potential and still be as reliable as when I got it.

I have no clue on what kind of power gains to expect but, I am automatic and I Dyno the car stock it made 126 hp at the wheels and since I have dropped in a K&N filter replacement and took the emissions screen out the air box as well as ran a tube from the outlet that runs from the air box in to the fender well to the driver side front air vent I removed the plastic cover and clamped the pipe to sit in the corner to catch maximum air as my speeds increase, this also results in a cold air effect. I'm not shore if I'm actually pulling any boost from this mod. the upgrades and mods i just listed are the absolute only mods done to my Scion and I'm actually very pleased with the results. when it was stock I had major trouble with my launch since the tC has so little gear in the auto differential it wouldn't even break the tires. if i floored it it tended to lag and then go and it wouldn't even put me in the seat. as of now i can spin the tires with ease and have seen much faster throttle response but i was skeptical if i actually gained any power. so i brought it back to the Dyno to see the results. I was impressed the fact that I only dropped $35 for a filter and the rest was free mods that just took creativity i know y'all are eager to here the numbers lo let me get to it. I have always ran 93 to reduce the every day detonation in our cars today but since I rebuilt it I run 104 octane and on the Dyno on 104 I had 148hp at the wheels WOW that's great numbers for 35 dollars that almost unheard of from what I've read on most threads I'm proud and excited about my numbers that is a 22 hp increase!

So besides the numbers when i found out how much power I actually gained i was kinda bucked up so then Monday came and at school some kid was bragging about his Mustang talking big about his V8. So I asked him if he had the 4.6 or the 5.0 and he of course said 4.6 then I bragged and said bet my four cyl can beat your V8 he said race so after school I met him by his car and we decided to meet up at a red light on a to lane highway I started behind him since I figured he would jump me to almost twice my engine size which he did he pulled on me until I hit 4500rpms in second at that time he was four or five car lengths ahead of me i started pulling back on him buy the time i hit third i was directly behind him waiting for the other lane to give me a chance to go around him as soon as it did i switched lanes and gunned it my 2.4 roared passed the mustang slowly but surely I got in front I was at 115 and my car shifted to fourth and I was gone. The guy has a lot more respect for me and my car now and we are cool not friends but kool. i was surprised I beat a Mustang like what? lol..

Okay so more recently i was going to my sisters house to watch the Saints game and I here a low tuner rumble a Honda Civic zooms past me and turns so i follow and catch up to hi and flashed my lights at him then we arrived at a stop sign he turned down a road and gunned it and I replicated his take of he was pulling on me until i hit second then it was home stretch buy the time i hit third i was pulling around him and was in front leaving his ____ty Civic. I latter encountered him at a gas station a week later and stopped to talk to him about his upgrades and engine size he had 2.4 Vtech with full Exhaust and Cold Air Intake and piggyback EMS with five speed manual. he asked me I told him only a drop in Performance filter he was blown away that I beat him after I told him what i had installed. Shhh no one has to know about the tube from my air box to my fender unless they see it hahahaha. I love that sleeper ____
